The employee giving program at University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics is an important fundraising tool and a great way for employees to work together. This program provides direct support for new buildings and renovations, equipment and patient charity care. This year, the proceeds of the campaign (unless otherwise designated) will be used to help fund much needed renovations in the Burn Unit, the intermountain area’s only specialized Burn Center.
Imagine the difference we could make if all 8,300 employees in our organization would make even a small donation. You can choose to sign up to donate 30/60/90 minutes of each pay period, an amount of your choosing per pay period, or make a one-time contribution. Every contribution makes a difference in the lives of our patients and their families.
I hope we can count on your support this year. Please take a moment to complete and return the provided pledge form.
Thank you for your support and all you do to make University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics a great place to work.
Sincerely,
David Entwistle
Chief Executive Officer, University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics

The University's Burn Center is a 12 bed adult and pediatric ICU and step down unit. It includes a full burn therapy staff and gym, a wound care room, operating room, and an outpatient clinic. It is the only Burn Center in the Intermountain West. This unit sees 350-400 patients a year with chemical, contact, flame, scald, friction, and electrical injuries. There are over 100 staff dedicated to the Burn Center. The Burn Center also has a very aggressive outreach education team and a burn camp for burn survivors.
The Burn Center is a rapidly growing area and because of that, it is time to renovate. Time to give them more bed space, more room for the outpatient clinic and a more strategically laid out Center. You can help by designating your donation to the Burn Center at University of Utah Hospital.
When donating to the Burn Center, your donation will help pay for new beds, new clinical areas and new equipment for this area.
-
University Hospital Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing the University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics with additional private funds necessary to pursue excellence in clinical patient care. Your undesignated gift can make a difference to support the priority needs of University of Utah Hospitals and Clinics. The priorities are reevaluated on an ongoing basis by Hospital Administration to determine where funds are most greatly needed at the time of your donation. Funds may be used for patient care, equipment, renovations, charity care, or other projects and areas as needed.
